OUR CELEBRITY ROOMS

During the autumn 2019 we named some of our rooms at the hotel after celebrities from Hagfors that have put our town on the map.
Every room has a nameplate on the door, a framed photo and a text about the person. These are the famous people that now have their "own" room at the hotel:

ANDERS ERIKSSON - Enduro rider, world champion and inspirer
Anders Eriksson is born 1973 in Hjo but has his roots in Hagfors. He is with his seven gold medals from World championships one of the worlds best enduro rider. Since the beginning of the 21st century Anders is running the business Anders Eriksson Racing AB and organising enduro camps and practices for individuals, companies and associations and he has organized this camp here in Hagfors for several years with the accommodation at our hotel.  

ANDERS MELLGREN - speedway rider, gold medalist in Allsvenskan and WC
Anders Mellgren, 1991, speedway rider from Hagfors, who had his breakthrough in his early years in his home team Valsarna. His largest successes are gold in Allsvenskan, the gold in WC för 80 cubics and FIM Youth Gold Trophy which he won in Poland 2007. 

ANDERS OLSSON - Multi athlete, world champion and inspirer
Anders “The Iron man” Olsson is a gold medalist from Paralympics 2004 and 2008 and a world record holder in swimming for disabled. He has improved his world record 59 times and he possesses nine world records. The 30th of September 2017 the new town square in Hagfors was inaugurated and its new name is “Järntorget” (The Iron Square) after our own Iron Man and of course there is a statue of Anders! 

ISABELLE HULTIN - bowler, Swedish and European champion
When she was 17 years old she won the Swedish championships for youths and after that her successes just went on… She has medals från European Championship for juniors and for ladies. She has also won the Swedish championships for elite. Three times she’s got the elite scholarship from Riksidrottsförbundet and Svenska Spel.

JIMMY JANSSON - musician, songwriter and music producer
Jimmy Jansson, born 1985, is from Hagfors and had his breakthrough 2003 in the TV program and music competition Fame Factory. After a couple of years he quit as a music artist and started working only with writing songs and producing music and today he belongs to the Swedish pop elite in songwriting and producing.

NINNI SCHULMAN - journalist, author and podcaster 
2010 she debut as a writer and her crime novels about the journalist Magdalena Hansson which take place in Hagfors municipality are loved by both the readers and the critics.
Our hotel is included in one of her books when a person is murdered in one of our hotel rooms.

VICTOR EJDSELL - ice hockey player, NHL-player and winner of highest score
Victor Ejdsell, born 1995 in Hagfors, is an ice hockey player who is 2019 playing in Färjestad BK in SHL. Victor started playing hockey when he was very young for his home team IK Viking which nowadays is Viking HC. When he was 13 years old he got to try playing in the club’s A-team for the first time. He also got selected to represent Värmland in the competition TV-pucken in 2010. Victor has played in many different clubs and has also been playing in NHL and AHL in The United States.
